Negoambo
            Negombo's proximity to Colombo International Air port at Katunayake brings many people here both Sri lankan's and foreigners. also known for Sri Lanka's First beach resort is home to the largest community of Catholics in Sri Lanka, a legacy of the Portuguese, who industriously spread Catholicism all along the west coast. Portuguese surnames abound here, though the people do not descend from the Portuguese. In the Dutch time Negombo was important because the highest quality cinnamon grew in this area.
This is a fast developing town. Fine sandy beaches of Negombo has been mostly unexplored , Beauty is found on the beaches and around the lagoons, where colourful fishing boats lie on blue water against a backdrop of palm trees and blue sky. The stretch of road towards Kotchchikade comes to life at dusk (most shops are open at daytime too) with many handicrafts and curio shops, gem shops, restaurants and internet cafes catering for tourists.
              Chilaw,situated in the western coast north of Negombo, a calm and quite beach city relating to Portuguese and Dutch times and famous for perls with a large fishing community. Great Sea food, Pearls, Deep sea fishing, Portuguese times Churches, Munneswaram Kovil, The Lagoon, Beach, Fishing are main attractions. You can reach many nature and culture destinations in the center of the country easily from Chilaw.
